After 22 years in the RAF, I am now in my transition period – learning new skills to enable me to transition into work once I leave. “I have a lot of transferable skills and professional qualifications from my time as an Engineer, but I have never gained a qualification in welding. I wanted to do the course for both personal and professional development and to allow me to progress into different employment.” Once Nathan has completed his Level 1 MIG welding qualification, he will move onto the TIG welding course and then eventually progress onto Level 2. Keen to move into the wind farm industry, the welding qualifications, alongside Nathan’s previous experience, will support a smooth career transition. WELDING LEVEL 1 AWARD MEET NATHAN
