THE TUTORS TEACHING YOU WILL HAVE INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE AND ARE DEDICATED TO MAKING YOU THE MOST EMPLOYABLE YOU CAN BE. IF YOU NEED ANY HELP WITH YOUR COURSE, THE TEACHING STAFF WILL BE YOUR FIRST POINT OF CONTACT. THEY WILL BE ABLE TO SUPPORT YOU WITH ASSIGNMENTS, COURSEWORK AND ANY QUERIES OR QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE ABOUT THE PROGRAMME. Your tutors will also be able to advise you on the range of careers open to you when you finish your course as well as progression opportunities here at Preston College. SUPPORT & FACILITIES LEARNING ZONE Our Learning Zone Team are always on hand to help you access the resources, services and support needed to develop your own independent study and research skills. Offering a huge range of workshops, supporting you in developing Harvard referencing, assignment writing and critical analysis, the Learning Zone is situated near the main reception. The Learning Zone also has group and individual study rooms for those working on group activities and presentations, alongside areas reserved exclusively for those adults studying on Higher Education courses with us. Preston College adopts an inclusive approach to learning, offering high quality teaching to all, which takes into account individual requirements. Reasonable adjustments are embedded within the classroom, to ensure that those learners with an identified need can fully access the curriculum and the associated assessment processes. It is recognised that some learners may also need additional support and this will be provided by the Curriculum and Learner Support Team. The focus of support is to remove barriers to learning and develop strategies. Naturally, support needs differ from individual to individual, including those with EHCPs and may include the provision of exam access arrangements, assistive technology, learning support coaches/assistants and communication support workers.
