Preston’s College is proud sponsor of the Employer of the Year category at The BIBAs, one of Lancashire’s leading business awards. Linzi Monks, Head of Apprenticeships and Employer Engagement says: “This will be my third time judging at this awards ceremony and a fantastic opportunity to hear the stories from the businesses of Lancashire when we begin the judging process later on this year. “Employers and business owners alike recognise that their people are their biggest asset and, in a time where we have seen a significant change in how we’ve had to do things due to the pandemic, recognising the innovative ways people have continued to run their businesses to enable them to survive and thrive is definitely something worth celebrating.” Judges have been selected from across a wide range of sectors to review all entries before the conduct virtual interviews with the finalists and select their finalists, which will be unveiled in August. The BIBAs has a £36,000 prize fund on offer to its winners and 19 prize categories open for entries. A lifetime achievement award, the Lancastrian of the Year, is the special 20th award which is selected by a panel of former winners of the award and given to an individual who has gone above and beyond to support the county’s economy. | 37 APM apprentice Lloyd with his Managers at Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council
