Introduction

 

This Apprenticeship can be applied across a broad range of sectors and job roles. Good managers and team leaders are essential to the success of any business, so the skills gained on this Apprenticeship are transferable and valuable. If you want a career in Management then this Apprenticeship is for you. The Apprenticeship and Advanced Apprenticeship offers a combination of qualifications, that will equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to work in a Team Leading and Management environment.

 

To undertake an Apprenticeship or Advanced Apprenticeship, you must be committed and have the determination and motivation to succeed.

 

Programme Levels:

 

Apprenticeship - Certificate in Team Leading Level 2

 

Advanced Apprenticeship – Certificate in Management Level 3

 

You will also undertake Key Skills and a Technical Certificate alongside the Diploma whilst attending college on a day release basis.

 

Programme Length

 

Apprenticeship in Team Leading – 12 months

 

Advanced Apprenticeship in Management – 12 months

 

Course Content

 

Selection of units from the Team Leading and Management Apprenticeships

 

  • Manage personal development
  • Developing working relationships with colleagues
  • Communicate information and knowledge
  • Set objectives and provide support for team leaders
  • Plan, allocate and monitor work of a team

 

Assessment

 

You will be assessed in one or more of the following ways:

 

  • Course Work
  • Exams
  • Oral Questioning
  • Portfolio of Evidence
  • Practical Demonstration/Assignment
  • Practical Examination
  • Written Examination

 

Careers Progression

 

The Level Two Apprenticeship will give you the opportunity to progress on to the Level Three Advanced Apprenticeship in Management. Learning will be tailored to your industry, but it’s likely you’ll be responsible for the delivery of a service, or how other people carry out their work. You could be working as a shift leader, section leader, team leader, floor manager, trainee manager, deputy manager, or supervisor. By the end of this course you will have all the skills, understanding and knowledge you need to build a rewarding career in a wide range of organisations.
