Your Course:
A Level Businesses Studies will provide you with an understanding of how different businesses finance, produce and market the products they sell to you. You will also gain an appreciation of how the external environment can influence a business and the strategies they choose to follow. Topics you will study include:
- Planning and financing a business
- Managing a business
- Marketing
- Operations Management
- Human Resources
- Financial Management
- Strategies for success (analysing and assessing business performance)
- The business environment and managing change
Assessment for this course is 100% examination.
Your Enrichment
As well as the wide variety of sporting enrichment activities available to all students, there are opportunities for trips including a visit to Alton Towers. Business students also have the opportunity to take part in ‘Business Enterprise’ as an enrichment activity.
Your Future
Business Studies at A Level prepares you for Higher Education in a business related discipline including degrees in Marketing, Business and Human Resources. Elements of the course including analysing and evaluating business practice are also valuable skills for a career in industry.
