Politics affects all aspects of your life from local to world issues. With the Government and Politics A Level, you will learn about different parts of the political world such as the media, the parties and the people. You will also widen your understanding of the reasons for differing opinions in politics. Units you will study include:

As well as the wide variety of sporting enrichment activities available to all students, there are opportunities for trips including the chance to visit the Houses of Parliament, a number of conferences and possibility of an overseas visit in year 2.
As well as the skills in analysis and evaluation you gain through studying politics, you will gain a deep understanding of the political world. An A Level in Government and Politics can lead to various degrees at university such as Journalism, Law or History.
