The study of the past is particularly interesting; it is effectively a study of ourselves. History can provide the answers to key questions about our lives and the world today. This course would suit students with an interest in history looking to study later in life or to complement other A Levels. Units you will study include:

As well as the wide variety of sporting enrichment activities available to all students, there are opportunities for trips including a visit to a site of historical importance – previous students have visited Dublin and New York!
Most students go on to study Higher Education on a wide range of related courses. The skills learnt in history such as analysis and evaluation can lead to careers in a variety of jobs such as Journalism, Law or media.
