Entry Requirements

 

37 GCSE points including GCSE English Language at grade C or above. An interest in law and current affairs is vital.

 

Duration

 

2 Years.

 

Your Course:

 

An A Level in Law will help you to apply your knowledge and understanding to real-life situations through case studies. You will also analyse and criticise Criminal Law and explore contemporary issues in law. Areas you will study include:

 

  • Acts of Parliament and Judicial Precedent
  • Introduction to criminal law and tort;
  • Exploring criminal law (offences against the person and property)
  • Law in contemporary society
  • Morality, justice and judicial creativity

 

Assessment for this course is through examination.

As well as the wide variety of sporting enrichment activities available to all students, there are opportunities for trips.

 

Your Future

 

Most students progress to study a higher qualification in law such as an honours degree, but the analytical skills developed in this subject can be applied to all subjects studied at degree level.
