Preston College Adult Course Guide 2022

PRESTON COLLEGE SUPPORTS BLACKPOOL COUNCIL TO DEVELOP STAFF WITH ILM QUALIFICATIONS “Blackpool Council don’t just need people who can perform their day job to a high standard, but having employees who can help their organisation to adapt and change at every level is imperative if it is to survive and thrive. Blackpool Council is committed to ensuring that staff are supported, developed and well led so that they are able to do the very best job they can. Blackpool Council aims to provide a platform for continuous improvement through learning, and have previously delivered internally ILM Level 3 and Level 5 programmes in Leadership and Management. However, Blackpool Council wanted to work with a partner to deliver a future ILM Leadership and Management programme, and so we contacted Preston College. The first year was delivered in our premises, but the second year was delivered virtually, both to great success with participants believing that they had gained a great deal from the programme. The tutors were knowledgeable and provided good support throughout.” Sandra, Workforce Development Trainer at Blackpool Council Feedback from a participant on ILM Level 3 Award: “The course opened my eyes to a number of existing practices learnt over the years that could be sharpened up, to help me improve. It certainly has been a useful learning exercise.” Feedback from a participant on ILM Level 5 Award: “Implementing different leadership roles, being confident in doing so and appropriately applying to the individual members of the team.” T: 01772 225522 E: info@preston.ac.uk @prestoncollege /prestoncollege 20
