Preston College Apprenticeship Course Guide

Linkability is working with Preston College to train and educate new adult care professionals through the apprenticeship programmes - working collaboratively to ensure that our apprentices will become the carers of the future and a lifeline of support for those in need. Linkability train their apprentices within real adult care settings. They believe that support in the ordinary homes of the people they will care for, in the communities close From a group of parents launching their first supported living house in 1990, Linkability now supports over 70 people in the communities of Central Lancashire, West Lancashire, and areas of Greater Manchester. It is the people they support who are at the centre of what they do and why their charity exists. LINKABILITY to where the people have grown up, or where their friends and family live, gives real meaning to their aim to remain ‘small and local’ and provide more local support in our community. Our relationship with Linkability demonstrates the importance of collaborative partnerships with industry professionals. This ensures the development and growth of the new generation of adult care workers. EMPLOYER SPOTLIGHT www.preston.ac.uk 9
