OUR EXPERIENCE Preston College is one of the largest apprenticeship providers in the local area, successfully training hundreds of apprentices every year across a wide range of organisations. Our sector specialist staff and industry-standard facilities make Preston College an exciting and enjoyable place to study and learn; all delivered in a supportive and caring environment. OUR EMPLOYER RELATIONS Our relationships with employers and businesses ensures that our apprenticeship provision is relevant, up-to-date and of a high quality. We work closely with over 1,000 employers across the region, from the self-employed, to SMEs and large corporate organisations. OUR APPRENTICESHIP CURRICULUM Here at Preston College we pride ourselves on the continual evolution of our curriculum offer. Through detailed conversations and involving our local employers, we are able to gain vital industrial insight and technical expertise to inform our curriculum design and to ensure our learners are given the relevant technical skills to prepare them for their working environment. EMPLOYABILITY We are here to make our apprentices the most employable. In a recent government survey 92% of apprentices said their career prospects had improved while 97% of apprentices said their ability to do the job had improved. It was also reported that upon completion of their programme, over 90% of all apprentices went on to further work and/or training. OUR COLLEGE PROMISE An apprentice’s safety and welfare is really important to us at Preston College and we will ensure that every apprentice has access to information updates and specialist staff who will support them whilst on their apprenticeship programme. We will work with each employer to ensure they have the necessary information to enable them to provide a safe environment for the apprentice.
