MEET THEAPPRENTICES Stanley | AAT Accounting | Synergy Technology Ltd Stanley says: “The apprenticeship programme has enhanced my skill set and has increased my confidence to perform in my role. I have really enjoyed studying alongside a full time job, which has given me the opportunity to put what I’m learning into practice.” Matthew | Business Admin | Lancashire Constabulary “I have thoroughly enjoyed being on the Business Administration programme and I have been able to develop a variety of new skills. By being on the apprenticeship programme, it allows you to simultaneously complete a qualification and have experience within a workplace environment.” Will | Site Joinery & Carpentry | Yarrow Builders “I chose an apprenticeship to gain a qualification and to get enough experience to eventually start my own business in the future. I have been totally inspired by the company I work for. I love the fact that I am working towards a finished product and I am able to use my hands in a practical subject that I enjoy.” Every year we work together with over a thousand local employers who hire apprentices through Preston College. It is a great way for our college to collaborate with some of the best employers in the region through technical skills learning, to boost local workforces and future proof the growth of our economy and the opportunity for employers to develop their apprentices through a range of bespoke training to suit the needs of their businesses. We recently caught up with a few of our apprentices who gave us an insight into their world of work and how being an apprentice is integral to their future of employment. Lauren | Beauty Therapist | The Beauty Barn Ellie, Manager at The Beauty Barn says: “Lauren has taken to the job like a true professional.
