Encouraging training and development, and supporting employees as they undertake further education is a core principle of Leyland Trucks and through our approach a high percentage of employees have qualifications and training that has allowed them to progress to roles with greater responsibilities. The company’s Assisted Studies policy enables employees to apply for both finance and time to further their education. All employees can request support under the policy, provided it offers a benefit to both the individual and the business. The higher education courses on offer at Preston College meet the needs of our business and allow for a straightforward transition onto degree programmes for those that want to progress their education further.
