The Most Issue 5

03 SIMON NIXON INTERIM PRINCIPAL AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE Welcome to this edition of The Most, which is packed full of articles and information on our apprenticeship and adult provision. Life in the College feels more normal now than at any time since before the pandemic began, and it has been a fabulous start to our academic year. We continue to see growth across all of our provision, and the energy around the campus has been a joy to behold. Hopefully most of our employer partners are also seeing more normal activity, and we are always delighted to make some contribution in terms of the courses we offer. Maximising employability skills will always be a top priority for us, and we can only achieve this effectively in partnership with other businesses. A key feature of this edition is to celebrate our many successes during the last year. In particular, we were delighted to hold our first on campus Exceptional Employer and Apprenticeship Awards in May, allowing us to recognise the amazing achievements of our employer partners, together with the often inspirational stories of individual apprentices. The only shame was that we couldn’t give awards to more people – all nominations were well deserved. Other notable achievements include the retention by the College of Matrix Accreditation, demonstrating the quality of our information, advice and guidance. This is a great achievement by our staff, and shows clearly the care and attention we pay to making sure our learners are supported properly even before they start their course. I hope you enjoy reading this edition, and I look forward to our continued strong partnerships.
