Adult Hairdressing Courses

If you enjoy working with others and talking to people, a hairdressing course at Preston’s College provides a wealth of opportunities for both career progression and change.

Hairdressing courses for adults are offered at level 1, 2 and level 3, with study at levels 2 and 3 providing a sole hairdressing focus. At level 1, you will explore both hairdressing and beauty therapy – ideal if you are unsure which industry pathway to pursue.

The level 2 course covers a range of modules from shampoo and condition to colouring, cutting and the art of dressing hair, whilst allowing you to develop the essential skills needed for industry success, as you work on training heads, your peers and paying clients in the on-site salon, Elements.

Successful completion of the level 2 programme provides opportunities to progress onto the level 3 course, where you will build upon and perfect already learnt skills. In addition, you will explore creative cutting and colouring, alongside colour correction and product and service sales.
