Description

Main duties and tasks

  • Liaise with the police
  • Deal with incoming and outgoing mail appropriately
  • Deal with telephone, email and general queries appropriately
  • Deal with any filing when required
  • Processing referrals
  • Provide general administrative support within the multi crime team hubs. Tasks may include (but are not limited to):
    • Purchasing of stationary, stamps and other office supplies
    • Typing of minutes, letters and reports
    • Maintenance of volunteer records and assisting with volunteers when required
    • MARAC research
    • Assisting with raising purchase orders for supplier payments
    • Chasing missing data
  • Provide support to other team members when required
  • Assist and maintain manual and computerised records in accordance with relevant internal and external policies, procedures and legislation
  • Maintain health and safety and fire records in accordance with Victim Supports Health and Safety Policy and inform relevant manager of any issues arising or remedial action required.
  • Assist and supply information and correspondence to internal and external contacts in accordance with required deadlines
  • Assist operational staff who deliver training (and other) events to produce course materials and with course management e.g. booking venues and setting up rooms
  • Generic responsibilities

  • Promote a health and safety culture within the workplace, observe all health and safety rules and procedures and attend all training courses as required
  • It is essential that information of a sensitive or personal nature is not disclosed to or discussed with inappropriate persons
  • Ensure all information is maintained in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation and Victim’s Support’s own Fair Processing Notice

 

  • Assist with the allocation of workload to volunteers and monitor the progress and quality of work
  • Assist in raising awareness of Victim Support, provide support to fundraising activity and take part in local fundraising events
  • Undertake other activities as required
  • Travel

 

  • There will be a rare requirement for travel

Wage

Hourly Rate: £4.10 Total Weekly Wage: £153.85
