Description

Main Duties & Responsibilities

The main responsibilities of the Facilities Assistant:

  • Provide admin support for H&S and Facilities including the booking of PPM maintenance
  • Provide superior customer service to meet on-site staff and clients expectations
  • Assist in the management of all contractors on site to ensure they perform to the required standards (including inspection of contractors works
  • Assist in the procurement of contractors and services as required
  • Assist in financial processes to ensure that all financial management requirements are completed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Conduct regular audits in line with agreed process
  • Assist in carrying out safety procedures when needed
  • Assist in the implementation of Industry Best Practice operations
  • Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure all building procedures and performance measures are maintained at all times
  • Seek ways to constantly reduce costs while improving operational standards
  • Provide support for regular reporting packages
  • Adhere with section 7 of the Health and Safety at Work Act to take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts and omissions
  • Any other duties appropriate to this post, as necessary or as requested

 

Profile

 

The Successful Facilities Assistant:

  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety requirements
  • Understanding of basic technical aspects of property management, and regulation 7 health and safety at work act.
  • Problem-solving skills

Required Qualifications

Good Level of English and Maths

 

HNC/HND Building studies

 

Willingness and ability to work towards higher level qualifications appropriate to the post
