The rewards and benefits of work experience are real. Students get the chance to understand how organisations work; at the same time they will be developing their own confidence and ability to work with others. Work experience builds self-esteem, a number of our students have been able to secure employment opportunities as a direct result of a work placement.
Our students have completed work experience placements with BAE Systems, Leyland Trucks, Conlon Construction, Manchester United, Robins and Day and Premier Inn to name just a few.
Work-based learning is a key part of all our programmes through work placements and work-related experiences. For 16-18 learners on Study Programmes, work experience is an important part of the course, with the opportunity for learners to be placed for up to 3 months.
