The Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement (QCF) is designed for those who assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in environments other than the work environment, e.g. classroom or other training environment.

What will I learn?

  • Unit 301 Understanding the principles and practices of assessment
  • Unit 303 Assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding

How will I be taught?

You will be taught by experienced and supportive tutors.

How will I be assessed?

You will provide a portfolio of evidence which will consist of work-based evidence and observations. 

What can I do next?

On completion of this award you can progress to on to a Level 4 Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practices (formerly the V1).

Is there anything else I need to know?

You must have two candidates who are or about to undertake a vocational qualification (QCF), as you will be assessing them. They therefore have to be working in the area that you are occupationally competent in.

Entry Requirements

You must have a Level 2 qualification in English and experience in the vocational area that you wish to assess. 

If the start date for your course has already passed we may still be able to accommodate you.
