Following the latest Government announcement of a new, national lockdown, we regret to announce that Preston’s College have taken the decision to cancel all pre-planned examinations due to take place this half-term.
As a college, we appreciate this is incredibly disappointing and we understand and value the effort all of our learners put into preparing for exams. However, as a college, we continue to put the health, safety and wellbeing of all our learners and staff first, and must therefore cancel all exams, including those due to take place tomorrow (Wednesday 6th January 2021).
At present, we await further guidance from the awarding bodies, in relation to either new exam dates or alternative assessments, and as soon as additional information is received, we will communicate this to all affected learners.
As a college, we will continue to do everything possible to ensure learners are not disadvantaged by the on-going coronavirus pandemic and we hope that you are able to engage fully in remote learning, in order to achieve your full potential.
At this time, we also ask that you continue to follow all of the guidance that is being provided and stay safe.
If you have any additional questions or concerns, please email: corona@preston.ac.uk where your query will be directed to the most appropriate member of staff.
