I’d love to work at Ribby Hall after completing my apprenticeship as they are good employers and I would get lots of training. Ultimately, I’d like to work towards owning and running my own business. “Preston’s College provides theory and practical lessons, plus we get visits from industry experts so we can keep up to date with the latest products and techniques. I think this is important to Ribby Hall as it’s a leading spa and clients want therapists that can advise on the latest treatments.” Fiona Bramwell, Head of School for the Service Industries says: “We are tremendously grateful to all the staff at Ribby Hall for providing such an exciting training package for all our learners and we look forward to continuing working with them as they continue to grow.” RIBBY HALL VILLAGE AND PRESTON’S COLLEGE STRENGTHEN THEIR PARTNERSHIP Ribby Hall Village, a five-star holiday resort set in over 100 acres of Lancashire countryside has further strengthened its relationship with Preston’s College by becoming an employer partner. Sophie Dodd, Ribby Hall’s Spa Duty Manager says: “We have been working with Preston’s College for a number of years and we have seen a number of students come here and flourish. With the expansion of Ribby Hall Village and Spa, we are growing our teams and we have turned to Preston’s College to provide us with a hard working group of individuals that can take on the roles. We support the Level 3 Diploma Spa Therapy students by allowing them to use our facilities to help complete their assessments. We also have a mix of NVQ Level 2 Beauty Therapy and NVQ Level 3 Beauty Therapy apprentices who have all been an exceptional addition to the team.” Sophie explains: “As a leading spa hotel in the region we have to make sure our therapists have the technical and interpersonal skills to deliver exceptional service. We’ve been delighted with the quality of learners we work with at Preston’s College and many apprentices have flourished at the village.” Apprentice Jessica Briggs is studying Level 3 Beauty Therapy.
