This role will serve as an introduction to electrical fitting on commercial vehicles, with both an introduction to low voltage/DC electronics and fitting work.
On the electrical side you will encounter vehicle lighting and equipment, covering the basics of the electrical circuits involved. Whilst with fitting you will be tasked with basic fabrication for bracketry as well as actually fitting the electrical equipment in question.
Their work covers all kinds of vehicle lighting and electrical equipment and you can expect to be involved throughout the cycle of each job.
This will include:
the pre-wiring of vehicles before build
the fabrication of basic metal work and bracketry
the fitting of items to a built vehicle
the wiring of lighting and equipment once in situ
repairs and fault finding
Your work will include the use of tools and we will introduce and guide you through the safe use of these. You will be supported by our two senior technicians who will guide you through the role.

39 Hours a week
REQUIRED SKILLS
Whilst prior knowledge and experience are not mandatory, a rudimentary understanding of electronics and previous use of tools would be appreciated
REQUIRED QUALITIES
In this role, once briefed and instructed of a task, you will be expected to be able to individually. We are looking for someone with the confidence to take on these tasks but also with the sense to realise when help or guidance should be sought.
