“Having apprentices in every part of our design and production teams, we had to take the difficult decision to put on hold their attendance at Preston’s College. However, with the support of the college we were able to continue their education through remote learning. Meaning the apprentices were able to continue their education whilst minimising any risk. We’re thrilled to have been awarded the Exceptional Employer Award from Preston’s College – it’s a great honour.” Martin Whittle, Business Development at John Turner Construction Ltd says: “We were delighted to ‘virtually’ receive an Exceptional Employer Award 2021 from Preston’s College, Lancashire’s largest provider of construction apprenticeships. Many have been impacted by the pandemic but have continued to support their apprentices through this time.
