24 APPLY NOW: WWW. PRESTON .AC.UK Eddy joined the Level 3 Education and Training course after spending over 20 years successfully working in the joinery trade. Hoping to teach the next generation of learners his skills, and having previously undertaken work in an Alternative Provision Provider, Eddy joined the programme in September 2021, where he enjoyed learning new skills, sharing ideas and working with peers from a range of industry sectors. Crediting the course with providing engaging lesson ideas, behaviour management techniques and a better understanding of how to set varying levels of work, Eddy had the opportunity to work with a range of different people from diverse backgrounds and industry sectors. Now enjoying a better understanding of how to present and engage following successful completion of the course, Eddy secured employment with Lancashire County Council in the Probation Team, where he works with individuals on a 1-2-1 basis, engaging them in learning through the teaching of basic joinery skills.
