34 www.preston.ac.uk Acerina joined Preston College as an ESOL learner back in 2017, beginning her studies with just basic levels of English. Successfully progressing through a range of ESOL programmes, before studying Level 2 Leadership and Management, Acerina credits the courses with providing the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to successfully apply for and secure an Apprenticeship. Going from learner to employee, Acerina is now a Level 3 Business Administration Apprentice here at Preston College and hopes to secure permanent employment at the College, upon successful completion of her Apprenticeship.
