It’s not simply nursery and childcare providers that offer a range of job roles, there are also opportunities in social care, education, mental health, family support and young offending teams. At Preston College we offer the T-Level in Education and Early Years which combines classroom learning with an extended industry placement which provides invaluable experience in the workplace. The T-Level in Education and Early Years not only shows employers that you are ready to work but also earns UCAS points, so you can progress to university to study degree programmes. If you are not quite ready for T-Level study we offer a Foundation course that can help you prepare for your next steps. T-LEVEL IN EDUCATION & EARLY YEARS The T Level in Education and Childcare offers students the opportunity to develop knowledge and understanding of the sector and the holistic needs of children and young people from 0-19 years of age. You will cover child development, how to support children and young people’s education, safeguarding, health and safety and wellbeing, understanding and managing behaviour, observing and assessing children and young people, special educational needs and disability, working with parents, carers and wider families and working with agencies and services that support children, families and carers.
