We usually consider an A-level in General Studies as a supplementary qualification. Applications from individuals with non-standard qualifications, relevant work or life experience, who can demonstrate the ability to cope with and benefit from degree-level studies, will also be considered. WHAT WILL I LEARN? Throughout your time on the HND you will study 120 credits at level 5, comprising of five modules: > Computer Aided Design and Simulation > Engineering Design and Manufacture > Thermo-Fluids > Electronic Systems > Instrumentation and Control HOWWILL I BE TAUGHT? You will be taught using a range of teaching and learning methods, including traditional lectures, tutorials and group work. You can also expect to undertake practical sessions as you work both individually and collaboratively with your peers as part of group project work. Teaching methods will vary from module to module, best reflecting the content of the module being studied. HOWWILL I BE ASSESSED? A variety of assessment methods are employed throughout the HND, including examinations, quizzes, presentations, posters and written reports. Assessment methods, as with teaching and learning techniques, will vary from module to module. PROGRESSION OPPORTUNITIES Upon successful completion of this HND you may choose to progress onto the BEng (Hons) at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan).
