Currently there is a huge skills shortage in the construction industry with the industry being placed in the top five sectors requiring employees, due to sector growth, from 2018-2028. Over the past couple of years, we have seen a boom in demand for construction courses at Preston College, with additional classes and female only multiskills courses added to meet both demand and feedback. Our Level 1 courses are ideal for those looking to develop their DIY skills further or study the basics of a trade alongside a full-time job, as well as those looking to take their first steps into a complete career change. Preston College offers a new hybrid learning approach to enable learners to fit their studies around existing work and family commitments. This flexible approach includes weekly practical teaching sessions held in college, alongside online guided self-study, relating to the theoretical elements of the course.
