We usually consider an A-level in General Studies as a supplementary qualification. Applications from individuals with non-standard qualifications, relevant work or life experience, who can demonstrate the ability to cope with and benefit from degree-level studies, will also be considered. WHAT WILL I LEARN? Over the two year programme, you will study six modules, three per year, totalling 120 credits in: Year 1: > Stakeholder Engagement and Communications > Project Legislative Environment > Marketing (Product Development and Launch) Year 2: > Project Management (Tools and Techniques) > Principles of Quality Management > Business Maths and Statistics PROGRESSION OPPORTUNITIES: Upon successful completion of the course, you may choose to progress onto the HND Project and Quality Management at Preston College. Upon successful completion of the HND, you may choose to enter year three of the BA (Hons) Business and Management qualification at UCLan, to achieve a full degree. To progress, an additional application needs to be made. HOWWILL I BE TAUGHT? This HNC is taught using a variety of methods, including traditional lectures, video presentations, case studies, role play, tutorials and class and group discussions. Teaching and learning styles will vary from module to module but you will also have access to our virtual learning environment, Canvas, for additional resources, to support your studies. HOWWILL I BE ASSESSED? Assessment methods vary throughout the programme and include both formative and summative assessments. Formative assessments will comprise of class activities and practical tasks such as presentations, whilst summative assessment will be made up of a range of assignments and examinations.
