HND PROJECT AND QUALITY MANAGEMENT Awarded by: University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) THIS HND: The HND Project and Quality Management has been designed in conjunction with key employers, to bring together management theories and practices, with established quality and project management tools and techniques. Designed for those wishing to progress an already established career, the programme combines a mixture of practical and theoretical sessions, developing key skills such as quality management, management of risk and project management applications. The course aims to provide intellectual challenge within project and quality management, alongside opportunities to develop strategic decision-making skills and an appreciation of the wider organisation and corporate responsibilities. Reflecting good practice, this HND encourages you to develop the practical skills and behaviours required for successful project and quality management and delivery in the workplace. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Preston College operates a flexible admissions policy, welcoming applicants with a wide range of qualifications and/or experience, with each application assessed on its own merits. We also recognise prior learning/attainment (RPL) and experience, meaning it may be possible to map some of your existing qualifications against the modules for the HND Project and Quality Management qualification. If this applies to you, we will discuss this with you at interview stage. For students who have recently been in education, we would expect an applicant to have one of the following: Level 4: A Level 4 qualification in a relevant subject, such as a HNC Project and Quality Management. The HNC shown in this guide allows for direct progression onto this HND. Applicants with an alternate HNC may be considered, depending upon modules completed Other qualifications or requirements: For advanced entry to the HND, we will consider accredited prior learning (APL) for a level 4 award containing 120 credit. For example, a recognised HNC in an engineering related subject A professional qualification such as the APM Project Management Qualification or IPMA Level D qualification will also be considered for APL of some modules Applicants with industrial experience will be considered on a case by case basis IELTS 6.0 (5.5 in each skills area) PLUS GCSE: Applicants must hold a Level 2 qualification in English and Maths 52
