• Provide administrative support to the practice team: typing, word processing and completing clerical work which includes the preparation of documents and responses for signature.
• Produce and circulate documentation following meetings and minute as required.
• Assist with the development of work systems within the practice team to improve organisational efficiency
• Maintain the practice stationary and consumables stock; re-order as necessary ensuring cost efficiency and value for money
• Co-ordination, planning and support internal and external training, and practice events
• Respond to all queries and requests for assistance from patients and other visitors
• Keep surgery areas neat and tidy and ready for use
• Scan clinical and non-clinical correspondence in line with current scanning procedures
• Assist the Practice management Team in the ongoing development of recall systems for patients in line with the quality and outcome framework and the local quality contract.
• Deal with and ensure appropriate actions are undertaken with internal mail and external mail in a timely manner.
• Develop health promotion calendar in line with national diary for patient information ensuring the web-sites and notice boards and other forms of patient communication channels are updated accordingly.
• Develop robust channels of communication for patients and visitors including web-site, text messaging,
twitter, patient leaflets and notice boards
• Utilise the appointment system to book patient appointments in line with practice procedures and signposting protocol
• Work in line with General Data Protection Regulations whilst exercising confidentiality at all times
• Undertake any other administrative and clerical duties commensurate with qualifications and experience
WORKING HOURS PER WEEK
37.5 hours 9.00 am to 5.00 pm with 30 minute unpaid lunch
