Engineering courses at Preston College are housed in the impressive iSTEM Centre - a multi million pound, purpose built facility offering a dynamic learning environment. iSTEM is home to advanced manufacturing workshops, a subsonic wind tunnel, 3D printers and purpose built welding bays, all designed to help you formulate ideas, test briefs and present findings.

Engineering continues to be a highly sought after profession, with engineers and technicians amongst some of the most in-demand positions in the world.

Here at Preston College we are delighted to offer a range of courses in this highly popular subject, including our new Level 1 Engineering Craft Skills Certificate - a programme designed for those with little experience seeking to design and manufacture a product from metal, whilst learning the basics in hand skills, tools and engineering materials.

For those already experienced in the sector, we are able to offer qualification at Level 3, as well as a host of Welding qualifications, including the Fabrication and Welding Techniques and Skills Level 3 Certificate, which could be free, under the National Skills Fund.
