  “After time away from education, I returned to complete the bricklaying Level 2 course at the begging the thought of returning to education was daunting, however, the team at Preston College made it a really positive experience. I am now in my second year of study and I have developed a range of new skills which will allow me to thrive in the industry. In the future, I plan on joining a building-team as a semi- skilled bricklayer and continue gaining experience in the industry.”

  “With over 30 years of motorcycle riding experience I wanted to gain a deeper understanding of the technical side, therefore, I joined this course at Preston College. This course has given me the skills from basic repairs to engine decommissioning and re-commissioning. The tutors have been incredibly supportive, offering first class guidance. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time at Preston College and would recommend this course to anyone passionate about motorcycles.”

The tutors make learning enjoyable despite my disability and partial sight, and they’ve encouraged me to start making items again that I intend to sell for charity. I’ve loved every minute of this course and am excited to put my new skills to use.”

  “Hairdressing has been a passion of mine since childhood, but family commitments meant I had to put my dreams on hold. This course enabled me to complete my Level 2 qualification, and I’m now working towards Level 3. My tutors have been amazing—kind, patient, and incredibly supportive. In the future, I plan to gain salon experience and eventually open a family business. My advice to any mature student out there thinking about returning to education – “Follow your dreams. It’s never too late!”
