Working as a pharmacy dispensing assistant you will prepare, supply and dispense medicines and products prescribed for patients under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. Working in the community or at a hospital, you will meet lots of people and gain the skills and knowledge you need to work in the industry.
There are around 64,000 people employed in community pharmacies in the UK. A further 18,000 people are employed within hospital pharmacies, NHS Trusts and within the pharmaceutical industry.

The Level 2 Apprenticeship provides progression to the Level 3 Pharmacy Technician (Pharmaceutical Science and Services Diploma) Apprenticeship dependent on your Maths, English and Science qualifications.
Duration: 12 months
All Apprenticeships require an initial assessment, interview and employment in the industry. At Level 2, GCSE English and Maths is preferable at grade 3 (D) or above. Apprentices who do not have these qualifications will need to complete Functional Skills during their apprenticeship.
