This role is part of our friendly and fast-paced reception and events team, where you’ll play an important part in helping the business run smoothly and making a great impression on everyone who visits us. You’ll be based at reception but will also support the wider operations and events team across a variety of exciting tasks.
You’ll be the first point of contact for visitors and callers, so a polite, professional, and friendly attitude is essential. Daily responsibilities will include answering phones, taking messages, greeting visitors, handling post and deliveries, keeping the reception area tidy, and helping keep our booking systems and client records up to date.
You’ll also support the events team in preparing for meetings, training sessions, and larger conferences. This might include setting up and clearing down rooms, helping with refreshments, preparing branded materials, checking tech equipment, and assisting guests throughout the day. You’ll also have the chance to get involved in creating social media content, taking behind-the-scenes photos and videos.
You’ll work closely with the reception and events teams, as well as clients, suppliers, and other staff members. This is a great opportunity to develop practical office, admin, and customer service skills in a professional but supportive environment.

While we don’t expect applicants to have formal experience, the apprentice should feel confident using a computer, for example, writing emails, typing up documents, or using online booking systems. Good attention to detail, especially for keeping records accurate and ensuring tasks are completed well, is also important.
We’re looking for someone who’s friendly, reliable, and approachable, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn and get involved. You should enjoy working with others, be adaptable to new situations, and happy to take the initiative when needed. Being a confident communicator and keeping calm under pressure are big pluses too.
Ideally, we’re looking for applicants with a minimum Grade 4 in English and Maths.
