Supporting Teaching and Learning

Supporting Teaching and Learning qualifications provide the opportunity to work as in-class support within primary, secondary and additional needs schools. Offering rewarding and fulfilling careers, where you will work closely with both the class teacher and the children, many roles typically involve working on a term-time only basis.

Many of our adult learners pursue Teaching Assistant opportunities as second careers, with many having been away from education for some time and often seeking positions which better fit with busy, family life. With this in mind, we offer a variety of courses at Level 2 and Level 3. The short video below from tutor, Christine, explains this in more detail.

Regardless of your chosen course or level, you can expect to be taught through practical workshops, specialist speakers, classroom activities, placement observations and online learning methods.
