Some therapists choose to specialise in a specific area of beauty, such nails or holistic therapist. This profession requires excellent people skills, as you will be working with members of the public, helping them to look and feel great. In addition, you will need a good understanding of health and safety as well as a technical understanding of the products used.
In most areas of hair and beauty you will also cover reception duties, as well as ordering stock and maintaining records and accounts.
