WELDING
Welding courses at Preston College are housed in the impressive iSTEM Centre - a multi-million pound, industry-standard facility offering a dynamic learning environment. iSTEM is home to advanced manufacturing workshops, a subsonic wind tunnel, a host of 3D printers and purpose-built welding bays, designed to help you develop key practical skills, test welds and improve practice.
Our Welding courses are offered at Levels 1 to 3, with all beginners starting on the Level 1 MIG, TIG or MMA pathway. Progression to Level 2 and Level 3 is possible, with funding available through the Free* Courses for Jobs initiative opportunities for free* Level 3 study, depending upon personal circumstances and already held qualifications.
