As part of the college’s ongoing support to ensure our learners are the most employable, the work experience team have collaborated with a number of employers over the last few months to devise some bespoke projects for our learners. The projects have enabled our learners to work on ‘real life’ ideas and scenarios under the guidance of the employer, tutors and work experience. Claire, our Industry Placement Officer, had the pleasure of presenting two of our Professional Construction learners with their awards from Eric Wright Group. Gavin (Operations Director at Eric Wright Civil Engineering) thought both their projects stood out in their depth of knowledge and the way they were presented. Gavin said ‘Both were excellent with good topic information and also good grammar and reporting writing skills evidenced’. Other projects include Lancashire Environmental Services for Science, JD Sports for AAT and Business, Novus Group for ITC and JD Sports for media, graphics, art and design.
