Preston College are pleased to announce that we have achieved the Quality in Careers Standard.
The Quality in Careers Standard is the national quality award for careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG) in secondary schools, colleges and work-based learning.
The Standard is fully aligned with the Gatsby Benchmarks for “Good Career Guidance” and recognises that the College fully complies with, the Department for Education’s “statutory guidance”.
Head of Curriculum for 14-19 learners, Debbie Ireland said: “Preston College has always provided the local community with access to high quality careers advice and guidance. It is wonderful that our qualified careers advisors have their hard work and dedication officially recognised by achieving this award, especially since only a small number of colleges have achieved it.
Whether you are a young person preparing to leave school or an adult looking to change career our advisors are on hand to help you make those all important decisions about your future.”
Preston College provides educational opportunities for young people and adults through classroom based technical qualifications, work-based qualifications such as Apprenticeships, and professional qualifications such as ILM (Institute of Leadership & Management) and AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians). We also have a range of Higher Education qualifications across a number of sectors.
