Preston College is proud to announce its role as the host for the upcoming inaugural Young Enterprise Competition, scheduled to take place on March 13, 2024.

This event is part of the first ever Lancashire Colleges’ Skills Competition Programme (sponsored by the Lancashire Skills Hub and Future U) and will showcase the entrepreneurial skills and talents of young people across the region.

As one of the leading educational institutions in Lancashire, Preston College is dedicated to teaching and evolving the next generation of business leaders and innovators.

The competition will feature teams from various colleges across Lancashire, each vying for the coveted title of Young Enterprise Champion. Participants will showcase their business concepts, marketing strategies, financial plans, and prototypes before a panel of esteemed judges, demonstrating their readiness to tackle real-world challenges and opportunities.

In addition to the competition itself, attendees can look forward to interactive workshops, guest speakers, and networking sessions designed to inspire and empower the next generation of entrepreneurs.

Fiona adds: “The Young Enterprise Competition promises to be an exciting and inspiring event, showcasing the immense potential and talent of young entrepreneurs in Lancashire.

“By hosting events like the Young Enterprise Competition, the College aims to provide learners with practical experience, mentorship, and networking opportunities; essential for success in today’s competitive business landscape.”
