At Preston College, we are passionate about bridging the gap between education and industry, and our very own Civil Engineering Lecturer, Hassan Ahmed, is leading the way as he stars in a national TV campaign alongside Sky Sports presenter Mike Wedderburn.
The campaign, created in partnership with Sky Media, highlights the incredible value of recruiting tutors with real-life industry experience to deliver outstanding technical curriculum to the future generation.
Hassan brings a wealth of knowledge to our students. He says: “I became a further education teacher because I wanted to transfer my existing skills and knowledge to those passionate about joining the construction sector. It is so important for students to learn from someone who has experience in the sector. They know that I have been on a similar journey they are embarking on now, which makes them more likely to share their challenges with me.”
Our students deserve the best, and being taught by industry professionals will undoubtedly enhance their skills and knowledge, whilst strengthening their opportunities for positive progression, to either further study, an apprenticeship or employment.
