Back to Business: Our Apprenticeship Programmes

At Preston’s College, we are proud to offer a full range of apprenticeship and professional programmes in Hair, Beauty and Barbering from introductory level right through to level 4. Please see below the list of apprenticeship programmes we offer in this industry sector.

An apprenticeship is a job with the added element of training. As an employer you would hire the apprentice and pay them a salary. The national minimum apprenticeship salary is £4.30. per hour An apprentice would work for a minimum of 30 hours a week with a day release to college each week which would make up their mandatory 20% off-the-job training (see below). The apprentice would be assigned a work based tutor who would support them through their training and who will support you as an employer as you train the apprentice with the technical skills.

Our apprenticeship programmes are below in blue. If you have any questions about any of these programmes, please give our Hair & Beauty Specialist Becky a call on t: 01772 225772 m: 07979700608 or email blavin@preston.ac.uk
