Science Apprenticeships

As a Laboratory Technician Apprentice, you could be working within a wide range of organisations, including but not exclusively, within chemical, primary and secondary pharmaceutical, biotechnology, formulated products, nuclear companies and analytical science services. You may carry out both routine and one-off laboratory testing and perform a variety of technical support functions across an organisation.

Our £13m iSTEM centre has well equipped laboratories, high-tech computer suites and industry standard facilities. Below you’ll find a walkthrough of our iSTEM Science facilities, followed by a taster session on extracting DNA.
