Ideal for those already working in a health and safety capacity and already holding a Level 3 NVQ qualification or equivalent, the Level 5 NVQ Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice is one of the leading health and safety qualifications in the UK, designed specifically for safety professionals who wish to attain Chartered Status of IOSH (CMIOSH).
To achieve the qualification, learners must complete all mandatory modules and to qualify for GradIOSH level membership must also complete the Professional Development and Ethics in Health and Safety Management module from the elective list. Exact assessment methods employed will vary from module to module but typically include written work, documents, videos, photographs, on-site visits, and witness statements. Work is submitted and marked electronically via the college’s e-portfolio system, with successful completion of the course being achieved when confirmed by internal and external verifiers.
You may progress into employment, onto additional, specialist qualifications or higher education.
You must be at least 19 years old, working in a health and safety capacity and already holding a Level 3 NVQ qualification or equivalent. Before you begin the course you will also need to complete a self-assessment form to identify any specific training needs and support and guidance requirements.
