With strong employer links and a commitment to preparing you for the modern workplace, this course will provide you with the technical skills and experience that employers are looking for. It will also prepare you for higher level courses and develop your entrepreneurial skills which can lead to you running a successful business.

WHAT WILL I LEARN?

You will develop your own business ideas gaining important skills such as independent investigation, research skills and techniques, data collection and processing as well as analysis and decision making. You will put everything you learn into practice through projects, workplace learning and work experience. You will also have the opportunity to create window and shop displays as well as plan, sell and promote your own products.

WHAT CAN I DO NEXT?

On successful completion of this course and with a grade 4 in English Language or Maths (with a minimum of grade 3 in the other subject) you can progress to Level 3 Business. Alternatively you may seek employment in the industry as an apprentice. Career opportunities include: Assistants in business administration, human resources, marketing, finance, sales and customer service. 

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

You need four GCSEs at grade 3 (D) or above including English Language and maths.
