This Level 3 course is part of Preston College's Combined Studies packages. You will study this qualification alongside the Level 3 in IT. During this business course you will have opportunities to learn in the classroom and the workplace. WHAT WILL I LEARN?
Through real-life business case studies you will learn the key functions of all businesses through financial accounting and management, the key practices of marketing and creative product promotion, how to recruit and motivate staff as well as understand the impact of economic and legal factors in the external environment. In the second year you will undertake individual projects such as planning, researching and presenting your own business idea and model to a panel of business experts.

WHAT CAN I DO NEXT?
This qualification combined with the Level 3 in IT is worth up to 168 UCAS points depending on your grades (that's the equivalent to three A-Levels) so you can progress to university to study business or business related courses such as finance, marketing, human resources, strategy, management, law and economics. Alternatively, you could consider seeking employment in these areas.

This course can only be studied as part of a combined studies package. It will run subject to sufficient student numbers and availability of government funding.
