This practical and hands on course provides an opportunity to learn an in-depth understanding of the principles of the uniformed services sector whilst also gaining transferable skills that can be applied to any workplace or further study. You will receive a good balance between practical and physical lessons as well as classroom based study looking at theories and application of content studied. You will develop skills in leadership, coaching, conflict management, personal protection, teamwork, communication and drill. Exploring topics such as crime scene investigation, the roles of the judicial system in society, the impact of the government policies and the influences media has on communities you will also apply theories and academic approaches to problems and scenarios faced within different uniformed services. Alongside all of this, you will develop and be assessed against your own practical and fitness levels, preparing you for entry to any of the uniformed services.

WHAT CAN I DO NEXT?
This qualification is designed to support individuals into careers within any of the uniformed services. If you would like to progress to university degree programmes this qualification combined with the Level 3 in Criminology is worth up to 168 UCAS points (depending on your grades). You could progress to degree courses in a range of related areas such as criminology, law, sport, psychology and policing.

This course can only be studied as part of a combined studies package. It will run subject to sufficient student numbers and availability of government funding.
