Preston College is proud to announce our membership with the Lancashire and Cumbria Institute of Technology (IoT) – part a national network of IoT partnerships located across the UK between local colleges, universities and leading employers. IoTs deliver the very best in higher-level technical education providing outstanding skills-based training across multiple technical industries.

Working in collaboration with partner colleges, universities and employers across the region, The Lancashire and Cumbria IoT is designed to bridge skills gap across key industries, developing a strong talent pipeline and ensuring the region continues to thrive with a workforce equipped for future success.

Preston College and Our Role within the Lancashire & Cumbria IoT

As a proud member of the Lancashire and Cumbria IoT, Preston College delivers specialist technical training that equips students with the practical skills, knowledge, and industry experience needed to succeed in modern workplaces.

Offering a range of Level 4 and Level 5 IoT qualifications, and higher level apprenticeships specialising in key sectors including, accounting, construction, engineering, counselling and mental health. Our aim at Preston College, is to equip individuals with excellent technical-based training, as well as providing employers with a skilled workforce required for a constantly changing industry landscape. Combining high levels of student support with inspirational teaching from industry-experienced lecturers, allows us to enhance learning at every stage of the student journey, and as a result we have built a fantastic reputation for providing confident, skilled individuals with relevant industry experience across a range of sectors.
