Before applying for a Scholarship, you must first have applied to study your chosen course at Preston College. You can apply now using our Online Application Form. Upon completion, please return to this form and submit your scholarship application.

Entry Criteria – Accounting (T Level)
1. You have excellent Attendance and Punctuality in school
2. You will need at least two grade 5s and three grade 4s or above at GCSE, including at least a grade 4 in maths and English.
3. You hold a position of responsibility within school (i.e. prefect, school ambassador, head boy / girl)
4. Have additional hobbies and interests either via clubs or community work
5. Demonstrates in interview a passion / skills for the area you are applying for
6. A minimum of one day’s work experience to understand the industry and profession.
Entry Criteria – Applied Science
1. You have excellent Attendance and Punctuality in school
2. You need five GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade 9-4 including English Language or maths with a minimum grade 3 for the other subject. You will also need GCSE Combined Science or grade 4s in two of the following: GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Physics, or a Level 2 Diploma in Applied Science at merit level.
3. You hold a position of responsibility within school (i.e. prefect, school ambassador, head boy / girl)
4. Have additional hobbies and interests either via clubs or community work
5. Demonstrates in interview a passion / skills for the area you are applying for
6. Can provide information/portfolio, on a project or STEM based activity carried out at School.
Entry Criteria – Science (T Level)
1. You have excellent Attendance and Punctuality in school
2. You need at least two grade 5s and three grade 4s including at least a grade 5 in science and a grade 4 in maths and English.
3. You hold a position of responsibility within school (i.e. prefect, school ambassador, head boy / girl)
4. Have additional hobbies and interests either via clubs or community work
5. Demonstrates in interview a passion / skills for the area you are applying for
6. Can provide information/portfolio, on a project or STEM based activity carried out at School.
Entry Criteria – Business Studies
1. You have excellent Attendance and Punctuality in school
2. Achieve a minimum grade 4 GCSE in maths and English
3. You need five GCSEs (or equivalent) at 9-4 grade.
4. You hold a position of responsibility within school (i.e. prefect, school ambassador, head boy / girl)
5. Have additional hobbies and interests either via clubs or community work
6. Demonstrates in interview a passion / skills for the area you are applying for
7. Provide evidence of Business nous through providing a new business idea and supporting business plan.
Entry Criteria – Business & Administration (T Level)
1. You have excellent Attendance and Punctuality in school
2. You need at least two grade 5s and three grade 4s at GCSE including at least a grade 4 in maths and English.
3. You hold a position of responsibility within school (i.e. prefect, school ambassador, head boy / girl)
4. Have additional hobbies and interests either via clubs or community work
5. Demonstrates in interview a passion / skills for the area you are applying for
6. Provide evidence of Business nous through providing a new business idea and supporting business plan.
Entry Criteria – Games & Graphics
1. You have excellent Attendance and Punctuality in school
2. Achieve a minimum Grade 4 GCSE in maths and English
3. You need five GCSEs (or equivalent) at 9-4 grade.
4. You hold a position of responsibility within school (i.e. prefect, school ambassador, head boy / girl)
5. Have additional hobbies and interests either via clubs or community work
6. Demonstrates in interview a passion / skills for the area you are applying for.
7. A portfolio of art work (not necessarily digital or Games design based) to demonstrate an aptitude to develop Games design skills
Entry Criteria – Early Years
1. You have excellent Attendance and Punctuality in school
2. You need at least two grade 5s and three grade 4s at GCSE including at least a grade 4 in maths and English.
3. You also need a grade 5 in science at GCSE.
4. You hold a position of responsibility within school (i.e. prefect, school ambassador, head boy / girl)
5. Have additional hobbies and interests either via clubs or community work
6. Demonstrates in interview a passion / skills for the area you are applying for
Entry Criteria – Engineering
1. You have excellent Attendance and Punctuality in school
2. Achieve a minimum Grade 4 GCSE in maths, English and Science
3. You need five GCSEs (or equivalent) at 9-4 grade.

4. Have additional hobbies and interests either via clubs or community work

6. Have an in depth understanding of the career path you wish to follow including roles and responsibilities of the job
7. You are a confident speaker, specifically in front of peers and others
Entry Criteria – Media (Film & Photography)
1. You have excellent Attendance and Punctuality in school
2. Achieve a minimum grade 4 GCSE in maths and English
3. You need five GCSEs (or equivalent) at 9-4 grade.
4. You hold a position of responsibility within school (i.e. prefect, school ambassador, head boy / girl)
5. Have additional hobbies and interests either via clubs or community work
6. Demonstrates in interview a passion / skills for the area you are applying for.

Entry Criteria – Media, Broadcast & Production (T Level)
1. You have excellent Attendance and Punctuality in school
2. You need at least two grade 5s and three grade 4s at GCSE including at least a grade 4 in maths and English.
3. You hold a position of responsibility within school (i.e. prefect, school ambassador, head boy / girl)
4. Have additional hobbies and interests either via clubs or community work

Entry Criteria – Digital Software Development (T Level)
1. You have excellent Attendance and Punctuality in school
2. You need at least two grade 5s and three grade 4s at GCSE including at least a grade 4 in maths and English and a grade 5 in ICT.
3. You hold a position of responsibility within school (i.e. prefect, school ambassador, head boy / girl)
4. Have additional hobbies and interests either via clubs or community work
5. Demonstrates in interview a passion / skills for the area you are applying for.
6. Examples of your work to demonstrate an aptitude to develop software skills
Entry Criteria – Performing Arts
1. You have excellent Attendance and Punctuality in school
2. Achieve a minimum grade 4 GCSE in maths and English
3. You need five GCSEs (or equivalent) at 9-4 grade and will need to attend an audition.
4. You hold a position of responsibility within school (i.e. prefect, school ambassador, head boy / girl)
5. Have additional hobbies and interests either via clubs or community work in Performing Arts
6. Demonstrates in interview a passion / skills for the area you are applying for
Entry Criteria – Professional Construction
1. You have excellent Attendance and Punctuality in school
2. You need at least two grade 5s and three grade 4s at GCSE including at least a grade 4 in maths and English.
3. You hold a position of responsibility within school (i.e. prefect, school ambassador, head boy / girl)
4. Have additional hobbies and interests either via clubs or community work
5. Demonstrates in interview a passion / skills for the area you are applying for
6. A problem solving attitude and willingness to investigate the built and natural environment
Entry Criteria – Professional Dance
1. You have excellent Attendance and Punctuality in school
2. Achieve a minimum grade 4 GCSE in maths and English
3. You need five GCSEs (or equivalent) at 9-4 grade.
4. You hold a position of responsibility within school (i.e. prefect, school ambassador, head boy / girl)
5. Have additional hobbies and interests either via clubs or community work
6. Demonstrates in interview a passion / skills for the area you are applying for
7. Through the audition process, the candidate will demonstrate a high level of skill in Dance, and potential for the development of skills necessary to become a professional dancer or dance teacher.
8. Copies of dance exam certificates and evidence of any voluntary or professional experience beyond their school or dance school shows.
Entry Criteria – Public Services
1. You have excellent Attendance and Punctuality in school
2. Achieve a minimum grade 4 GCSE in Maths and English
3. You need five GCSEs (or equivalent) at 9-4 grade.
4. You hold a position of responsibility within school (i.e. prefect, school ambassador, head boy / girl)
5. Have additional hobbies and interests either via clubs or community work
6. Demonstrates in interview a passion / skills for the area you are applying for
7. Have an in depth understanding of the Public Services and their roles
Entry Criteria – Sport
1. You have excellent Attendance and Punctuality in school
2. Achieve a minimum grade 4 GCSE in Maths and English
